• This toner contains ash pigments and  been made to neutralize yellow hair & turn it ash blonde.
• However, it is an ammonia-free non lifting toner.
• So you need to make sure that you lift the hair to level 9 (very light blonde) using bleach prior to toning.
• See chart below to see what level 9 looks like.
• Mix the contents of the developer bottle with the toner in an applicator bottle.
• The correct mix is 1 part developer to 1 part toner.
• Pour over hair and rub thoroughly.
• Rub product really well into hair to ensure good product saturation.
• Leave in 10 minutes, and then rinse.

How to Use

• Pre-lighten the hair to a level 9/10 using Brilliant Blondexx and a suitable developer.
• Process and rinse.
• Mix Silver Grey with 20 Vol developer.
• Mix 1:1 with developer.
• Make sure you saturate the hair very well with the mix. 
• Consider doing a double application - it will help you get extra vivid results.
• Development time: 20-30 minutes, but be prepared to rinse when you get your desired result (avoid over processing)
• Silver Grey is not a toner, it is a regular color and you need to process the color for the correct time in order to get vivid results.
• Emulsify and wash with a low pH shampoo.

After-care

• Use Brilliant Blondexx Shampoo and Mask immediately afterwards and on a regular basis.

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THIS TONER:

• This toner contains purple pigments and  been made to neutralize yellow hair & turn it platinum blonde.
• However, it is an ammonia-free non lifting toner.
• So you need to make sure that you lift the hair to level 10 (pale yellow) using bleach prior to toning.
• See chart below to see what level 10 looks like.
• Mix the contents of the developer bottle with the toner in an applicator bottle.
• The correct mix is 1 part developer to 1 part toner.
• Pour over hair and rub thoroughly.
• Rub product really well into hair to ensure good product saturation.
• Leave in 10 minutes, and then rinse.

How To Succeed with Your Intense Pearl Blonde Toner Application:

• If hair is not already blonde, lift using Brilliant Blondexx Lightener & Developer. 
• Try to eliminate as much of the brassiness as possible and make sure hair is at level 8/9 (see chart below)
• Rinse when this has been achieved.
• Towel dry to get rid of excess moisture.
• Now apply Intense Pearl Blonde Toner 100V. 
• Use with 10 Vol if your hair is truly well pre-lightened to a level 9/10.
• Use with 20 Vol developer if your hair is still very yellow or if you are aiming for level a 10 blonde result.
• Make sure your product and developer mix is runny (1 part toner to 2 parts developer).
• This will help you work fast and get an even color result.
• Try and saturate the hair with as much product as possible. This will also help the toning process.
• Rinse as soon as you get the desired color result (the product is very fast acting)
• Normally, 10 minutes of processing time is sufficient to neutralize all yellow.
• To finish and maintain, use sulfate-free acidic professional hair care products
• Use Brilliant Blonde Purple Shampoo and Mask to keep yellow away

Directions For A Full Head Application

• Use 20 Vol Developer for 1-2 levels of lift, and 30 Vol for 3 levels of lift and more.

• Mix 1 part Lightener to 2 parts Developer.

• Make fine sections, starting from the back, where it is thicker. Then work your way round.

• Try to saturate the hair really well with product.

• Work fast to give the entire head a relatively even processing time. You can use foil on the lengths. This will help keep heat in and process the hair faster.

• Hair near the root is thinner and gets heat from the scalp. You should apply here only towards the end, with 20 Vol.

• Always watch carefully while the mix is processing, checking for hair condition, elasticity and lift.

• There is no fixed development time for bleach and you should be prepared to rinse as soon as the hair is ready.

• For an ultra-white blonde result, lift the hair until all orange and yellow has been taken out: a true level 10.

• If the mix starts to dry out in certain parts or is lifting less fast, you should make a fresh mix on those parts and re-apply.

• After 30 minutes processing time you need to rinse.

• If the hair is not sufficiently lifted, re-apply making a fresh mix.

Directions for A Near Root or Regrowth Application

• Use 20 Vol Developer only (never 30 Vol on the root area).

• Make your  mix 1 part Lightener to 2 parts Developer.

• Apply to the dark regrowth near the root, making fine sections.
• Be generous with your product and make sure that the hair is drenched with your product mix.
• If you have mid-lengths or ends which also need lifting, make a fresh mix in the last 10 minutes and extend.

• Rinse when the hair has been lifted up to level 10 lightest yellow.

After Bleaching

• Tone with Ugly Duckling toners.

• Finish with Purple Shampoo and Mask to remove the last yellow and to close the hair cuticles.

• Finish with Brilliant Blondexx Shampoo and Mask to make blonde hair stronger and less prone to breakage.

Some Frequently Asked Questions about Hair Bleaching

Whens should I rinse off my bleach?

The actual application time is typically between 25 to 40 minutes but there is no fixed rule. You need to keep watching and checking and  be prepared to rinse as soon as you have reached a very light pale yellow level 10. Do not rinse the hair until you have reached that level.

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THIS TONER:

• This toner contains ash pigments and  been made to neutralize yellow hair & turn it ash blonde.
• However, it is an ammonia-free non lifting toner.
• So you need to make sure that you lift the hair to level 9 (very light blonde) using bleach prior to toning.
• See chart below to see what level 9 looks like.
• Mix the contents of the developer bottle with the toner in an applicator bottle.
• The correct mix is 1 part developer to 1 part toner.
• Pour over hair and rub thoroughly.
• Rub product really well into hair to ensure good product saturation.
• Leave in 10 minutes, and then rinse.

For best color results with Ugly Duckling Metallic Grey, follow instructions below:

• Pre-lighten the hair to a level 9 using Brilliant Blonde and a suitable developer.
• Process and rinse.
• Mix Metallic Grey with 20 Vol developer.
• Mix 1:1 with developer.
• Make sure you saturate the hair very well with the mix. 
• Consider doing a double application - it will help you get extra vivid results.
• Development time: 30 minutes.
• Metallic Grey is not a toner, it is a regular color and you need to process the color for the full time in order to get vivid results.
• Emulsify and wash with a mild shampoo.
• Stylists often mix Metallic Grey with Silver Grey, Intense silver blonde or Intense pearl blonde & get great results.

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THIS TONER:

• This toner contains purple pigments and  been made to neutralize yellow hair & turn it platinum blonde.
• However, it is an ammonia-free non lifting toner.
• So you need to make sure that you lift the hair to level 10 (pale yellow) using bleach prior to toning.
• See chart below to see what level 10 looks like.
• Mix the contents of the developer bottle with the toner in an applicator bottle.
• The correct mix is 1 part developer to 1 part toner.
• Pour over hair and rub thoroughly.
• Rub product really well into hair to ensure good product saturation.
• Leave in 10 minutes, and then rinse.
