Ugly Duckling Brilliant Blondexx Bond Protect Lightener is a bleach powder with Bond Protect. It lifts while helping protect fragile hair against breakage. 17.6 oz (500 g).
It achieves up to 7 levels of lift while minimizing hair damage and breakage, and Bond Protect leaves the hair visibly stronger, thicker and healthier. Maleic acid keeps scalp irritation minimal, so near-root applications are possible, with up to 3 consecutive applications in one sitting. It is safe for both on-scalp and off-scalp bleaching.
Use it on the root area and the lengths, including fine or fragile hair.
Mix 1 part lightener with 2 parts developer: 20 Vol for 1–2 levels of lift, 30 Vol for 3 levels and more. Apply in fine sections starting from the back and saturate the hair well. Apply near the root only towards the end, with 20 Vol, never 30 Vol. There is no fixed development time: keep checking and rinse after 30 minutes at most. If the hair is not sufficiently lifted, re-apply a fresh mix. Rinse when the whole head has reached a uniform very pale lemon color (level 10), then tone. Use Brilliant Blondexx Shampoo and Mask for treating fine or fragile bleached hair; they help condition and strengthen the hair.

Step 1
Mix with developer in a 1:2 mix ratio: 1 part lightener to 2 parts developer. Use 20 Vol developer for lifts of 1-2 levels, for the root area and for a second application of bleach. Use 30 Vol for lifts of 3 levels and more.

Step 2
Apply in fine sections starting from the back. Apply near the root only towards the end, with 20 Vol.

Keep checking. There is no fixed development time; rinse after 30 minutes at most. If the hair is not sufficiently lifted, re-apply a fresh mix.
Step 4
When the whole head has reached a uniform very pale lemon color (level 10 hair), rinse and towel dry quickly.
Step 5
Apply your toner. Process, rinse and towel dry. Use Brilliant Blondexx shampoo and mask for treating fine or fragile bleached hair. It will help condition and strengthen the hair.

Excellent bleach. Loving it!!
Lifted my hair really well. One of the best bleaches I ever experienced. The best part is that my hair feels really soft. Not rough. And the ends are in much better condition as compared to other bleaches. After the bleach I used an Ugly Duckling toner and it was excellent too. Would definitely buy again.

I am beside myself with your products! I have been dying bleaching coloring my hair for 30 years and this is by far the best product to use for lightening!! My hair is so soft and the bond protect in the lightening powder WOW! I used 30 vol developer at 2:1 to lightening powder. I covered my ends with a coconut ol conditioning mask, foiled my roots and processed for 25.

The only product I'll ever use, and here's why...

Best bleach ever!
I’ve been doing my hair for decades now and as a Latina I’ve always struggled with getting my hair bleached to the correct lightness. It’s always been some sort of orange afterwards and it’s always taken like three or more applications even when professionally done. This bleach not only got my hair to a level 10 in one application, it also didn’t leave my hair feeling like straw afterwards! This is now my go to bleach and I’m never using anything else!!

The bomb!
This stuff is amazing! I was always WAY too nervous to attempt bleaching myself, but finally bit the bullet when Covid struck. I’d been using Pulp Riot Lightener Rapid Lift Bleach, but the 1st process always left me orangish, & I always had to bleach a 2nd time. I decided on Ugly Duckling Blondexx after doing some research. I have level 6 roots with the rest of my hair being previously bleached to level 9/10. I used 30 vol developer & could literally see my roots lightening after only 5 minutes after I started applying it! I have really short hair, & I applied it to ALL of my hair. I left it on for a total of 40 minutes (from beginning of application). After rinsing, my level 6 roots were a level 9/10, & all my hair was left totally uncompromised. No breakage AT ALL! I shampooed with Brilliant Blondexx Shampoo with Bond Protect. Then I applied Brilliant Blondexx Mask with Bond Protect, covered with a processing cap, left it on for 30 minutes, rinsed & dried. I kid you not, my hair looks better than it does when I have it done at my salon! Less yellow, better condition & more shine!

Your bleach is bomb ass, I love it
You were very right in the top I use the 20 volume first then I reapplied 20 volume. That was perfect so I tested your theory the stylist the colorist who used to do my hair that said it was so difficult to change and it would never change without 40 volume and your bleach is bomb ass. I highly recommend this product!
I purchased the Brilliant Blondexx lightener with bond protect powder and 20 developer. This product lifted virgin black hair color in about a half hour. It became very warm while on which wasn't uncomfortable but made me nervous. I left it on for approximately 40 minutes total. This product did not damage my hair. After washing and adding my color, everything rinsed out well and my hair was as if I had never processed it. I highly recommend this product!

Love My Hair!!
