How to fix a dark regrowth and go white blonde
Do you have a very black regrowth? And are you looking to go pearl blonde?
First step - bleach on the root area
Use an Ugly Duckling bleach - we would suggest you use Brilliant Blondexx
It has Bond Protect built in, and will protect your scalp as well as the hair itself during the bleaching process.
If the root is very dark - black or dark brown, then you need to mix your bleach with 30 Vol developer
If the hair is orange or yellow, on the other hand, then use 20 Vol developer.
Brilliant Blondexx has excellent lift
So provided you make your mix well and apply well, you should get an excellent lift.
Making and applying your bleach mix
Make sure that your mix is nice and wet - 2 parts developer to 1 part bleach is good.
This will give you a gravy-like consistency.
This will help you really saturate the hair with the bleach mixture when you apply.
Apply on the root area, and be generous with the product.
Let it process until it is really light yellow.
Then rinse with warm water. Then towel dry.
Applying your Ugly Duckling toner
Now apply Ugly Duckling's Intense Pearl Blonde toner, mixed with 20 Vol developer.
Apply really well with the brush, and go over a second time with fingers using gloves if necessary.
The product should be in close contact with the hair in order that the color neutralization can take place.
Rinse when done.
Haircare after toning
Apply Brilliant Blondexx mask with Bond Protect afterwards to keep the hair healthy and shiny.
The Bond Protect will enrich the hair, reduce split ends and breakages and make the hair stronger and healthier.
