Green toner for red hair

Why is my hair red?

Hair Bleaching Levels

When you bleach dark hair, the first color it turns is red. At this point the hair is at level 3-4.

If you lighten it some more with bleach, it goes orange level 5.

Then yellow-orange level 6-7.

Then finally yellow level 8.

Then finally pale yellow level 9 and above.

This is totally normal. It's the way all hair works. Not just your hair!

What can I do about it?

The best thing we always recommend in such situations is to bleach the hair some more.

Take it to level 9 pale yellow.

Then retone it the color you want.

What if that fails? Then what should I do?

We do recognize that there are cases where this is totally impossible.

You may not want to use bleach.

Or the hair may be so porous as a result of frequent coloring that it is not possible to lift it any more.

In such cases, use green to neutralize.

As in the video below.
