How do you bleach very dark hair?

Contrary to what some hair stylists say, bleaching dark hair can easily be done in one session.

Provided you use the right products and the right technique. In this video tutorial we will show you how.

Using Brilliant Blondexx Bleach

Ugly Duckling's Brilliant Blondexx Bleach would be our recommended bleach in such sessions.

It has a very powerful and effective lifting technology.

At the same time, it contains Bond Protect (maleic acid, in other words), which protects the hair.

You will see the difference as soon as you make your mix.

You will get a very creamy, oil-like mix. Totally different from the usual bleach mixes.

And you will find that when it is sitting on your client's hair, it will make for a much more comfortable on-scalp experience with less irritation.

Lifts by 7 levels

In this video, we use foil and apply the bleach mixed with 30 Vol onto very dark hair.

As you can see, our stylist gets a 7 level lift. All the way to pale, pale yellow.

How to put in a shadow root

Putting in a shadow root is easy and an excellent value add service that a hairstylist can do.

It also covers grey hair on the root very well. We used 5N Light Brown for this.

Toning the rest

We toned the rest using silver blonde toner 10B combined with 9.23.

This have us a stunning and consistent level 9/10 hair with zero yellow.
