- Mix 1:1 with developer.
- Choose your developer according to lift needed: 20 vol for 1-2 levels lift, 30 vol for 2-3 levels lift, 40 vol for 3 levels lift or more.
- Section hair, making fine sections and apply with a brush.
- Make sure you really saturate the hair with the product.
- For extra vivid results, apply a second time this time with fingers using gloves.
- Development time: 30 minutes.
- Add 10 extra minutes of development time in the case of very resistant grey hair.
- Emulsify and wash with a low pH (acidic) shampoo.
- You can use Brilliant Blonde purple shampoo and mask to enhance the anti-yellow effects of this toner.
- You can also use Brilliant Blondexx shampoo and mask to keep blonde hair strong and breakage-free.
Result Using 10.1b Extra Light Cold Ash Blonde
This is my second time buying Ugly Duckling. After having dark brown hair all summer I went back to my bleached ash blonde look. After looking up alternatives to what I usually buy, I found this brand, and was very happy with how quickly my hair toned from the light yellow bleach color to pearl blonde. My hair is past shoulder length, and it was toned before I got to the front of my head. I'm definitely going to recommend these products on my upcoming video.

I have bought this for a few years. I saw some reviews saying that it faded fast for them. Here’s some tips for someone doing their own hair for 15 years or more. Do not wash your hair that much, use dry shampoo. Use toners such as joico for blonde between washes. Do not wash hair in hot water as colors will fade quickly. Take hair vitamins and use heat protector if you use hot tools. I plan to buy color again but this time going to try copper.
I tried many different hair dyes. Theirs are the best, last the longest, best results and cause the least damage !
